The Minimum Viable Product and the Agile Fundamentals. The Lean Start-up philosophy of the Minimum Viable Product, relates directly to the fundamentals of Agile development.
In this rapidly changing world, getting a product to market as swiftly as possible has become a priority. The product must be of value to the potential customer base, so quality and understanding what the customer needs is just as vital.
The Minimum Viable Product is a stripped-down product that contains the minimum features required by stakeholders, without any low or no value features.
Designing and describing a Minimum Viable Product should also be the precursor for any successful agile development project, and there should already be an alignment with the customer expectations before the project even begins.

User Stories Applied by Mike Cohn is one of our favourite books on Agile User Stories. The book starts with an overview into user stories, and details what a user story is and the different aspects of them. He then discusses how to go about writing a user story, and provides details of the INVEST criteria that can be used to determine if the story is meeting all of its objectives. Next Mike gives an in depth discussion of who user stories are written for and where to begin when gathering the details for them. The book then discusses acceptance testing user stories, including how to go about specifying these criteria and the responsibilities of the development team and customers during this process.
